PariPesa Uganda: getting into your account and onto your phone
Two questions bring most people to this page — how to sign in, and how to sign up. Both are answered first, because in Uganda that is where the friction actually is. After that: the Android APK, mobile money in shillings, and a straight account of who holds the licence behind the brand.
One thing worth knowing up front. There is no PariPesa app in the Ugandan Play Store, and that is a Google distribution rule rather than a verdict on the app. The Android file comes straight from the operator’s site; on iPhone there is a Safari shortcut instead. Both are free.
Inside the app: sign-in, live betting, casino
PariPesa Uganda login
Three different things open the same account, and most sign-in trouble comes from not knowing that. The PariPesa Uganda login screen takes the phone number on the account, the email address, or the numeric user ID from your registration SMS. One password works with all three.
- Tap Login, top right of the app or the mobile site.
- Enter your number with the country code: +256 and the nine digits, dropping the leading zero.
- Add your password and sign in.
- Enter the SMS code if two-factor is on.
- Once in, switch on fingerprint or Face ID under security. Every sign-in after that is a single tap.

PariPesa Uganda registration
Two ways to register with PariPesa Uganda, and the one you pick shows up later. One-Click wants a phone number and nothing else — an account in seconds, with an empty profile behind it. Full Registration costs three more minutes and is the reason a first withdrawal clears instead of sitting in review.
- Tap Registration at the top of the home screen.
- Choose One-Click or Full Registration.
- One-Click: Uganda (+256), your number, Ugandan shilling as the currency. A user ID and temporary password come back by SMS.
- Full Registration: phone or email, a password of your own, UGX, then the 18+ and terms boxes.
- Confirm the number with the OTP.
- Sign in and finish the profile before depositing.

PariPesa Uganda app download
The PariPesa Uganda app download is an APK from the operator’s site. Google keeps real-money betting apps out of the Ugandan Play Store, so the file arrives directly and Android asks once for permission to install it. Around 48 MB, Android 6.0 or newer, two minutes end to end.
- Open the official download page in Chrome, tap the Android button. From a laptop, scan the QR code with your phone.
- Let it download fully. A file cut off partway looks complete and then refuses to open — the single most common problem.
- Android blocks it: go to Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps and allow Chrome. Older phones: Settings → Security → Unknown sources.
- Open the file from Downloads and install. A Play Protect warning here is routine for sideloaded apps, not a virus alert.
- Sign in or register.
- Switch the Chrome permission back off. It was a one-time thing.
Updates are manual, since nothing outside the Play Store refreshes itself. When a new build appears, download the current APK and install it over the old one — do not uninstall first, or you lose the saved login. Installing over keeps the account, bet history and settings. Checking the official page once a month is enough.
On iPhone there is no app to install and no APK that will work — APK is an Android format, and Apple only lists gambling apps from operators licensed in that country’s store. Open the official page in Safari, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen. The shortcut opens full screen, takes almost no space and updates itself. Do not change your Apple ID country to look for an app that is not there; it breaks Apple’s terms and cuts off your existing purchases and iCloud billing.
Mobile money in shillings
Set the account to UGX and the cashier fills with the Ugandan options. For nearly everyone that comes down to MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money; e-wallets and crypto sit there as alternatives for the minority who want them. The flow is four taps: Cashier → Deposit, pick the network, type the amount in shillings, approve the prompt that lands on your handset with your mobile money PIN. Taking money out reverses the same path through Cashier → Withdraw.
Figures move too often to quote here honestly — the cashier shows the live minimum, maximum and fee for whichever network you pick, and the deposit and withdrawal methods page carries the detail. If a payout drags, look at your own account before blaming MTN or Airtel: unfinished verification, a bonus still holding the balance hostage, or a wallet name that does not line up account for three delays out of four.
Sports and casino in the app
The betting line is the same one the desktop site carries. Football runs from the Uganda Premier League and Cranes fixtures through to the Premier League, La Liga and the Champions League, and around it sit basketball, athletics, boxing, cricket, rugby and esports. A big match carries several hundred markets, and the in-play screen keeps odds movement, your open bets, live statistics and cash-out on one page.
The casino section loads inside the same app with no second download: slots from a long list of providers, live dealer tables including roulette and blackjack with real croupiers, and crash games such as Aviator and JetX. Most slots have a free demo mode, which is the sensible way to see how a game behaves before staking real shillings — demo does not exist for live tables or jackpots.
Four settings are worth changing on day one: the app’s own PIN or fingerprint lock, one-tap stakes for live prices, the rule that decides whether your slip accepts a changed odd automatically, and a deposit limit. The first three save time; the fourth saves money.
Is PariPesa licensed in Uganda?
Short answer: no, and it is worth understanding what that does and does not mean.
Uganda has a working gambling regulator. The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board licenses operators under the Lotteries and Gaming Act, 2016, runs an e-licensing platform, and has tightened renewal requirements for 2026 — tax clearance, audited accounts, AML reporting and premises inspection among them. So PariPesa holds a Curaçao licence rather than an NLGRB one. In practice that changes where a dispute ends up: with the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, not with a board you can walk into in Kampala. Your account terms, bonus rules and payout conditions all sit under that licence. Check the NLGRB register yourself before you deposit rather than taking any review site’s word for it — this one included.
Account security and staying in control
- A password used nowhere else, two-factor on, and the app’s PIN or fingerprint lock — that last one matters most when the phone gets shared.
- No signing in from an internet café, an open network or a borrowed handset.
- Nobody legitimate asks for your OTP or your MoMo or Airtel Money PIN. Not support, not a “verification officer”, not a Telegram admin.
- No VPN to reach the service from a blocked country — it breaks the terms and voids withdrawals.

Support that actually reaches someone
There is no PariPesa phone line in Kampala. Support runs on in-app chat and email, around the clock, and any number advertised as an “official PariPesa Uganda contact” is not the operator’s — usually it exists to collect an OTP.

Can I deposit with MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money?

Is PariPesa licensed by the NLGRB?

No, and an APK will not install on iOS — wrong format. Add the Safari shortcut to your home screen instead. Never change your Apple ID country to hunt for an app that does not exist in that store.
Do I need the app at all?
Not at all. Everything runs in a browser with nothing installed. The case for the app is habit: bet a few times a week and the lower data draw, fingerprint sign-in and goal alerts start to matter. Bet now and then, or run a phone with no room to spare, and the browser is the better call.
